Our Last Day?

So today went totally wonderful.  Everything went the way we wanted.  We finished all three of our screen casts!  I think there’s nothing wrong that happened.  Wait, we didn’t finish hyper-linking.  The reason is because every time we hyper-linked the research paper, once we updated it, the hyper-links won’t show!  Ugh.  So frustrating.  Oh, well.  I guess today is our last day.  That’s what I think.  I’m not sure.  Anyways, thanks for visiting our blog, commenting, and I hope you still will.  Thanks!

Yesterday and Today

Sorry!  I forgot to post yesterday because of all the homework!  Anyways, yesterday we worked on our blog.  What I mean by that is that we worked on the pages.  Jenessa worked on the Webspiration page because she copy – pasted it, and now it looks all weird.  I worked on the Events page and Vanessa worked on the F.A.Q’s page.  We also printed out the scripts and practiced for the screen cast.  Now talk about today.  Today we went outside to start our screen cast!  Exciting? Yes.  Actually, that’s the only thing we worked on because we had some problems.  We were starting but it kept messing up.  The Cam Studio thing wasn’t working properly…until Mr. Clarken helped us with it.  Then, he said we needed a mouse so we can go to the next slide and all.  He sent us to this little room to start it.  We started and guess what!  Nope, we didn’t get it done, if that’s what you guessed.  There’s this thing that keeps popping up once we were on our second to last or last page.  Then, we asked Mr. Clarken for help and it all worked out.  We started recording and we were finally done!  YAY!  We were the first to actually do a screen cast…succesfully.

Poll Answer!

The right answer had 14 votes.  That’s better than the other polls!  The new poll was asking what you would do if there was an actual tornado happening right here, right now.  If you answered “Take cover”, you’re correct!  Great job if you answered that!

Explanation:

This is pretty simple.  Why in the world would you take pictures, call your friends to tell them about it, or watch TV until the tornado is completely over.  The best and smartest decision is to take cover.  Go to a basement and if you don’t have one, go under a table and cover yourself with as much protection as you can.

Hurricane Andrew!

Today

Today we got a lot done!  I finished a GoAnimate and Vanessa finished her part of the research paper.  Jenessa only needs, like, one more paragraph.  What didn’t go well was that we didn’t finish our research paper. Tomorrow we’ll try to get that done.  What we’ve got done is the outline, the expository writing, and a couple more that I don’t remember.  What we don’t have done is the screen cast ( we’re gonna start on Friday), the research paper, the GoAnimate, our script for the screen cast, the Zoho Show for the screen cast, and some other stuff.  We’re gonna try to finish what we haven’t.

Hurricane Katrina!

Here’s Our Reflection:

Today we got a lot done.  We finished our script but we had to edit it because we needed more lines.  We’re gonna try to finish it on Monday so we can start filming.  Actually, we still need to start our posters.  Anyways, that’s all we worked on so there’s not a lot to write.  See you guys on Monday!

Poll Answer!

Soorryyy!  We forgot to post the answer for our new poll!  I’m talking about the poll asking how many common types of lightning there are.  Anyways, the right answer had had 9 votes.  That’s pretty good.  The right answer was 5.  Great job if you answered that!

Explanation:

1. Forked – Forked lightning looks like the letter Y upside down.

2. Zig-Zag – Zig-Zag lightning is a giant giant spark that zig-zags its way to the ground.

3. Sheet – Sheet lightning makes a white light that fills a wide area of the sky.

4. Ball Lightning – Ball lightning is a slow moving ball of fire that can sometimes appear inside buildings and planes.

5. St. Elmo’s Fire – St. Elmo’s Fire is a faint flickering glow around trees, buildings, or ships’ masts.

Here’s a new poll (it’s pretty easy):

March 22

Today we got a lot done!  Well, we’re done with our “expository” writing and there’s not a certain thing we need to finish.  Today, we worked on the computer (laptops) mostly because that’s what we need things to be finished on.  I worked on the About page, replied on some comments, and added some stuff to the F.A.Q’s page.  Vanessa and Jenessa researched events from the past that had something to do with severe weather.  They researched that for our weather forecast.  What didn’t go well was that…….nothing actually.  Everything went the way we wanted.  Tomorrow we’ll do more research on severe weather events from the past.  See ya!
